I trained and trained and trained.

I began to dream about the biggest competition in the world.

I dreamed I was running at the Olympic Games wearing the green and gold.

When Peter Bol and his family fled Sudan for Egypt, they never imagined they would settle in Australia. But after they arrived, Peter discovered the joy of running, and began to dream about running on the biggest stage of the world – the Olympic Games.

He was a little kid with a big dream – and sometimes dreams really do come true.

Sudanese-Australian Peter Bol won the hearts of the nation on the track in front of an empty stadium at the Olympics. Now, with a full heart he is delighted to share his childhood journey, beautifully brought to life on the page by Louie Joyce.
