When Nina Thomas meets elderly Laura Chadwick, a timely friendship forms, just as Laura needs support. Their bond is one thing that Nina will be sorry to leave behind as she relocates from Australia to England, but they promise to stay in touch.

Once on the other side of the world, Nina’s life takes an unexpected turn. She meets the charming Sean Reynolds and takes on the ambitious project of restoring Lavender Lane, a former convalescent home for military officers. As Nina begins settling into the Wiltshire countryside, she uncovers surprises that challenge her. But can Lavender Lane truly become the home and new beginning she craves?
